Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Barakah collects, how it is used, and how member and partner information is handled during launch.

Last updated: June 26, 2026

1. Information we collect

For members, Barakah may collect name, email, phone, household profile details, membership status, contribution details, and basic account activity.

For business applicants and approved partners, Barakah may collect owner contact details, business contact details, addresses, categories, descriptions, logos, social links, offer terms, sponsorship interest, and review notes.

2. How we use information

Barakah uses information to operate member accounts, review business applications, publish approved offers, support account communication, process payment-related updates, improve the directory, and protect the network from misuse.

Public business listings should show business-facing information only, such as the business phone, website, social media, offer terms, and location details. Owner contact information is used for Barakah review and follow-up.

3. Payment and service providers

Barakah may use providers such as Zeffy, hosting services, analytics tools, email services, and Payload CMS infrastructure. These providers process information only as needed to provide services to Barakah.

4. Sharing

Barakah does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers, payment providers, approved staff, or as required to operate the member and partner experience.

Approved business listing information may be displayed publicly in the Offers & Locations directory.

5. Retention and updates

Barakah keeps information for as long as needed to operate accounts, review applications, maintain records, support payment and compliance needs, and resolve disputes. Members and business owners may request updates to their information.

6. Security

Barakah uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for launch. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, so access should be limited to approved users and sensitive information should not be submitted unless needed for the service.
